Online acceptance & deposits

Coming soon — deposit collection is on the roadmap and not yet available. Online acceptance (below) works today; the deposit steps describe a planned feature.

The accept page is where a "maybe" becomes a won job — without your customer creating an account or downloading anything.

What your customer sees

Every reminder links to a personal accept page carrying your logo and brand colour. It shows the estimate number and total and a name field. One tap on Accept this quote and it's done.

What happens the moment they accept

  1. The estimate flips to Accepted in QuickBooks — with their name recorded in the estimate's Accepted By field and today's date as Accepted Date.
  2. Their typed name is recorded against the acceptance.
  3. All future reminders for that estimate stop immediately.
  4. Your dashboard funnel updates: viewed → accepted.

Each accept link is unique, unguessable, and single-purpose. Once accepted, revisiting the link just shows a confirmation — it can't be accepted twice.

Collecting a deposit (coming soon)

Deposit collection is a planned feature and isn't live yet. When it ships, you'll be able to turn on deposits in Settings → Deposit:

  1. Connect your own Stripe account (or create one in the flow — takes a few minutes).
  2. Set your deposit percentage, e.g. 25%.

The plan is that, the moment a customer accepts, they'll be offered the deposit payment by card. The money will go directly into your Stripe account — Quote Nudge QB never holds your funds. Acceptance will stand even if they close the payment page.

Why deposits matter: an accepted estimate can still go cold, but an accepted estimate with 25% paid almost never does. Locking in commitment while the customer is keen is one of the biggest win-rate levers we see — which is why it's high on our roadmap.
